Threads under the piece
Replies nest under the comment they answer, so a long disagreement stays readable instead of collapsing into a flat list of fragments.
Open, or subscriber-only
Let anyone reply, restrict comments to subscribers, or restrict them to paying subscribers. The setting is per post, because not every piece wants the same room.
Moderation without a queue to babysit
Block, delete and turn off replies from the post itself. Comments are rows in your database, so a bad week is a query rather than a support ticket.
